This accredited course covers the skills required to perform CPR in line with ARC guidelines, including the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED or defib machine).
Other skills learnt on completion of this course include recognition and treatment of various medical and trauma conditions tailored to babies, toddlers and children, so that you will be able to respond to an emergency with the goal of saving a life, reducing pain and injury until qualified medical help takes over.
This course also covers asthma and anaphylaxis and is recognised by ACECQA and the Department for Education and Training, making it the perfect course for teachers, creche workers or those working in a kindergarten.
This course covers you with the skills found in Provide CPR, Provide First Aid, Course in Management of Asthma Risk and Emergencies in the Workplace and Course in First Aid Management of Anaphylaxis.
Course duration is 6.5 hours with an additional online component to be completed prior to the training.
